Land a NEW Job

Getting that new job can be an intimidating and stressful process. Bring excitement back into your career journey. Follow a proven framework and focus on what matters while avoiding the guess work.

Role and Resume Review

Resume Review is the first of the four sessions. It is aimed at helping participants create a well-structured and effective resume. The session begins with an introduction to the session and goal setting. This is followed by a discussion on the key components of an effective resume, such as format, objective, experience, education, and skills. Participants' resumes are then reviewed and critiqued, and suggestions for improvement are provided. The session ends with action items and homework assignments for the next session.

2

Job Search and Personal Branding

Job Search is the second session, which focuses on helping participants find job openings and effectively present themselves to potential employers. The session begins with an introduction and check-in on action items from the first session. An overview of job search strategies is provided, including online job boards, networking, and company research. Participants then discuss cover letters, personal branding, and how to use LinkedIn effectively. The session ends with a group activity on researching companies and finding job openings, as well as action items and homework assignments for the next session.

3

Interview Skills

The Interview Skills session is aimed at helping participants prepare for and perform well in job interviews. The session begins with an introduction and check-in on action items from the second session. A discussion on common interview questions and techniques for answering them is provided. Participants are then given a review of body language, dressing appropriately, and making a positive impression. The session ends with role-playing exercises and mock interviews, followed by group feedback and final thoughts. Action items and a follow-up plan for continued improvement and success in the job search and interview process are provided.

4

Offer Negotiations

Job offer negotiations begin reviewing the job offer with the client, including salary, benefits, responsibilities, and company culture. A mock negotiation session may be conducted to allow the client to practice their negotiation skills and receive feedback from the coach on their performance. The coach would provide final guidance and preparation for the actual negotiation, including advice on effective communication and handling unexpected challenges. The goal is to equip the client with the skills and confidence to negotiate a job offer that aligns with their goals and to provide support throughout the process.
